Clipping Mask
STEP 1: Create and color a base layer.
STEP 2: Add a new layer above the base layer.
STEP 3: Tap the layer in STEP 2 and select Clipping Mask from the layer options popup.
STEP 4: Then, you can fill material/paint like shading within the colored area in the base layer.
Tap Actions > Canvas > Switch on the Symmetry toggle. Once you switch it on, you can edit the Symmetry by using the Edit Symmetry located just below the toggle.
Move:
Pan the orange node to adjust the position of the Symmetry Guide.
Rotate:
Touch and turn the white node to change the angle of the Symmetry Guide.
You can also adjust the opacity and thickness of the Symmetry Guide at the bottom of the settings bar.
To reset the Symmetry Guide to the default position, tap Reset at the bottom of the settings bar.
Option 1. In Templates > Tap Import.
You can find imported drawings and images in the Imports section of Templates on the left-hand column.
Here are two methods you can use to copy layers in FashionDraw:
Option 1. In Layers > Tap the name of the layer > Select Copy from the layer options popup.
Option 2. Tap Actions > Canvas. There, you will find the Cut / Copy / Copy all layers options.
To paste the copied layer, go to Actions > Tap Canvas > Paste.
Gallery
STEP 1: Go to Gallery > + > Settings button in the upper right-hand corner.
STEP 2: Choose the desired orientation and size.
STEP 3: Select either blank or default templates.
In the Gallery, press and hold the canvas's name. A Rename Canvas pop-up will appear, allowing you to rename your canvas.
Import
In Actions > Import >Tap Insert a photo or Take a photo.
Share
Option 1. In Gallery > Select > Select canvas you want to export > Share.
Option 2. Tap Actions > Share > select any format.
FashionDraw offers an extensive selection of file formats customized to suit various objectives.
Stickers
Tap Actions > Import. Here, you will find the Stickers button.
Tap Layers > Select the sticker's layer > Tap once > Select HSB from the layer options popup. You can adjust the color though Hue, Saturation, Brightness.
You can paint directly onto stickers. To fill a sticker, simply drag the desired color and drop it onto the sticker.
You have three methods to create your own sticker.
Option 1. Tap Actions > Import > Stickers > Tap Import in the upper right-hand corner. You can import your own sticker from Photos.
Option 2. Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap the selected area once > Tap the arrow icon and find Create Sticker. Select Rectangle or Freehand and tap Create.
Option 3. Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap Actions > Canvas > Create Sticker.
You can find imported drawings and images in the Imports section of Stickers on the left-hand column.
Canvas
To adjust the brightness of the base color in the canvas, tap Actions > Canvas > Base Color. This will bring up the Base Color screen, allowing you to make the necessary adjustments.
Tap Actions > Canvas > Switch on Grid toggle. Once you switch it on, you can edit the Grid by using the Edit Grid located just below the toggle.
Tap Actions > Canvas > Switch on the Symmetry toggle. Once you switch it on, you can edit the Symmetry by using the Edit Symmetry located just below the toggle.
Move:
Pan the orange node to adjust the position of the Symmetry Guide.

Touch and turn the white node to change the angle of the Symmetry Guide.
You can also adjust the opacity and thickness of the Symmetry Guide at the bottom of the settings bar.

You can open a floating window above your work and import an image for drawing reference.
Tap Actions > Canvas > Switch on the Picture-in-Picture toggle.
To move the Picture-in-Picture, drag the handle at the top of the window.
To resize the Picture-in-Picture, touch and drag any corner of the window.
To zoom in and out on the image inside the Picture-in-Picture window, pinch-zoom the image.
To close the window, you can tap the cross icon or switch off the toggle.
Tap Actions > Canvas > Tap Flip Horizontally / Flip Vertically / Flip All Layers Horizontally / Flip All Layers Vertically.
The Redo and Undo buttons can be found in the lower left-hand corner of your canvas. Alternatively, you can also access these functions by performing a two-finger tap to undo and a three-finger tap to redo.
Preferences
FashionDraw offers two interfaces, and the default appearance is Dark Mode. To change it to Light Mode, go to Actions > Prefs > Switch off the System Auto Dark Mode toggle.
Tap Actions > Prefs > Switch on the Enable Painting with Fingers toggle. Then, you can draw with your fingers or other digital pens.
Tap Actions > Help > Language. Then, it will take you to the iOS Settings to change the language.
Layers
You have two methods to multi-select layers.
Option 1. In Layers > Tap Select > Tap the layers to select more.
Option 2. In Layers > Swipe right to mutli-select layers.
A multitude of actions can be performed on the selected area. You can Merge, Duplicate and Delete.
You can press and hold the desired layer and then drag it up or down to reposition it.
You can make a layer invisible by tapping on the Eye icon located next to the layer panel. This will hide the selected layer from view.
You can swipe the desired layer to the left and tap Lock. Once the layer is locked, it cannot be edited or transformed until it is unlocked again.
Swipe the desired layer to the left and tap Delete to remove the layer.
Tap N on the right-hand side of layer and you will see the menu for adjusting opacity and changing different types of blend modes.
Here are two methods you can use to copy layers in FashionDraw:

Clipping Mask
STEP 1: Create and color a base layer.

Alpha Lock
STEP 1: Select a layer that has already been painted.
STEP 2: Select Alpha Lock from the layer options popup.
STEP 3: After successfully blocking out the desired area, you can paint without worrying about painting outside the lines.
Lassos
STEP 1: Freehand draw the desired area.
STEP 2: Tap any brush icon, such as Drawing Brushes and Eraser Brushes. Then, all the drawing actions will be painted inside the selected area.
FashionDraw offers several filters, including Halftone, HSB (Hue, Saturation, and Brightness), and Gaussian Blur. To access these filters, simply tap on the name of the layer you wish to modify.
Brush Panel
You can adjust the following settings by long-pressing and sliding up and down:
1. Material - to rotate the material.
2. Color - to adjust the brightness of color.
3. Brush size - to increase/decrease the brush size.
4. Brush opacity - to increase/decrease the brush opacity.
Yes, FashionDraw comes with several color palettes, such as Skin, Makeup, and Denim. To access these palettes, go to Colors > Tap Palette. From here, you can select the color palette you want to use.
Yes, you can! In Colors > Select Palette > Tap + > Choose either New Palette or New From Photos.
For New Palette, a blank palette will appear. Tap the small box to add a color to the blank palette. Press and hold the colored box to delete a swatch or set the current color.
For New From Photos, select an image, and FashionDraw will generate a color palette from that image.
To extract a color from the canvas, there are two methods available:
1. In Colors > Tap the Eyedropper icon in the upper right-hand corner. Then, touch and drag on the desired color on the canvas to extract it.
2. Press and hold the spot where you want to extract the color. A crosshair will appear, allowing you to select the color you want to extract.
Drawing Brushes
Tap a brush that you commonly use. Then, tap the Star in the upper right-hand corner. You will find the pinned brush in Favorites.
Select an existing brush and swipe right > Tap Duplicate. You will find them in Custom. From there, you can adjust their brush settings to customize your own brushes. This will not affect the settings of existing brushes.
Additionally, you can share your own brushes with friends who are using FashionDraw.
Tap Drawing Brushes icon on Tool Bar > Switch Drawing to Technical which is located in the upper right-hand corner of the Drawing Brushes menu.
To access the Brush settings, select the desired brush and then tap it again. This will bring up the Brush settings menu, where you'll find both Basic Settings and Advanced Settings.
Basic Settings:
Here, you can adjust simple and common brush settings.
Advanced Settings:
For more detailed brush settings, toggle the switch to access the Advanced Settings.
While adjusting the brush settings, you can test them on the Drawing Pad to see how they affect your strokes.
P.S. All changes made in the brush settings will be synchronized across the Drawing Brushes, Material Brushes, Smudge Brushes, and Eraser Brushes.
To reset a brush in FashionDraw, there are two available methods:
1. Select the brush you want to reset and swipe to the left. Then, tap Reset to restore the brush to its default settings.
2. Double-tap on the brush and select Details in the Brush Settings menu. Then, tap Reset, located at the bottom of the menu, to revert the brush to its original configuration.
You can select the desired brush and swipe to the left. Then, tap Duplicate to create a copy of the selected brush.
Material Brushes
To apply a texture using Material Brushes in FashionDraw, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Tap the Material Brushes icon (the second brush icon).
STEP 2: A Material icon will appear in the Brush Panel.
STEP 3: Tap the Material icon to access the available textures.
STEP 4: Choose the desired texture to apply.
STEP 5: Start painting with the selected texture to apply it to your design.
Once you select the desired texture, there is a settings panel next to the thumbnails on the right-hand side. You can adjust the Size, Angle, and Opacity of the fabric there.
In the Material Library > Select a material > Switch on Randomised to activate the feature. Once you switch it on, every time you draw on the canvas, the placement of that material will be different.
In Material Library > Select material > Tap Reset.
Smudge Brushes
Tap the Smudge Brushes icon on the Tool Bar, then tap and drag along the brushstrokes.
Eraser Brushes
Yes, tap the Eraser icon twice. This will bring up the Eraser Brushes menu. The brushes available in the Eraser Brushes menu are the same as those in the Drawing Brushes menu.
Templates
Adjusting the opacity of a template is similar to changing the opacity of layers. In the Layers menu > Tap on the Percentage located on the right-hand side of the layer. This will bring up a menu where you can adjust the opacity and select different blend modes for the layer.
To change the color of the template, you can use the HSB filter. Tap on Layers > Select the template layer > Tap once > Choose HSB from the layer options popup. To adjust the template color, increase the Brightness slightly and fine-tune the Hue and Saturation settings as needed.
Option 1. In Templates > Tap Import.
You can find imported drawings and images in the Imports section of Templates on the left-hand column.
Option 2. Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap the selected area once > Tap the arrow icon and find Create Template. Select Rectangle or Freehand and tap Create.
Option 3. Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap Actions > Canvas > Create Template.
You can find imported drawings and images in the Imports section of Templates on the left-hand column.
Lassos
Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap selected area once > Tap Erase from the lassos options menu.
Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap selected area once > Tap Cut / Duplicate / Copy All Layers from the lassos options menu.
For Duplicate, the selected part will be copied and pasted immediately on the screen.
For Cut and Copy All Layers, please go to Actions > Tap Canvas > Paste.
Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap selected area once > Tap Transform from the lassos options menu. This will bring up Transforms screen.
Tap Lassos > draw around your desired area > Tap selected area once > Tap Export from the lassos options menu. Select Rectangle or Freehand and tap Share. The exported image will be saved as a PNG file.
Transforms
For flipping:
Tap the Transforms icon > Tap either the Flip Horizontally or Flip Vertically icon.
For resizing:
Touch and drag any corner of the transform box.
For rotating:
Touch and turn the bottom node to change the angle of the transform box.
After performing the above actions, tap the tick symbol to confirm the changes or the cross symbol to cancel.
